I gave up so much for Lent…mainly my modesty and high expectations.

I was all set to begin this past week with a few researched posts that would BLOW YOUR MIND. That’s how fantastic the research I had conducted … and the writing? UNBELIEVABLE. We’re talking Pulitzer.

Instead, I got sick over the weekend, then I got better, went on a few job interviews and then got sick AGAIN. I spent the entire day on Wednesday puking my guts out and although I was still sick yesterday, I managed to fake my way through a job interview. Fake as in, I faked being healthy. I prayed all the way there that I wouldn’t pass out during the interview or worse yet…excuse myself to puke. No matter how much makeup I applied on my face, I still looked pale and sickly.  I’m not sure how I pulled it off…but I did get a job offer. I’m pretty sure they think they’re hiring a zombie with fantastic hair. So maybe the zombie look works? Or maybe it’s the big boobs.

It’s really a hard call.

It’s been a miserable week and when I’m this miserable I don’t like to talk too much. I pretty much want to be left alone. However, that being said, I’m also a woman and a walking contradiction. The Boyfriend has been reading some 5,000 page triology about unicorns* and has been ignoring me completely. I totally appreciate his love for reading and I have done the same thing when I’m enthralled in a book. (I’m anti- unicorns though.) Being this sick and also depressed with this whole unemployment thing…I sorta want his attention. But I also don’t want his attention.

It’s complicated.

Since I’m still under the weather, in the midst of the first stage of doing laundry (which is being in denial that I need to do 100 loads of laundry)  dealing with a sick dog and not to mention these episodes of The Office on Netflix  aren’t going to watch themselves…I’m going to end this post with Friday Finds.

You’re welcome.

But first…here is an important announcement:

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 will be the first segment in Wonder Woman Wednesday. Each Wednesday, I will be spotlighting a woman who is doing amazing things…whether it is in life, business or has an inspiring story that must be shared. I’m really excited about this segment and I can’t wait to introduce you to some wonderful women.

Friday Finds:

*I probably should mention that The Boyfriend’s book isn’t about unicorns. That was sarcasm. Pretty sure it’s about fairies though. Big huge mystical fairies that pay attention to their girlfriends when they don’t want attention. And they do it correctly.
